Interview with Lucie, Manufacturing Manager

Lucie started in March 2012 in the OptimHal-ProtecSom laboratory as a seamstress before being given the position of Manufacturing Manager.

What is your job ?

Au quotidien, je m’occupe de la gestion de production de nos ateliers de fabrication. Plus précisément, je mets en place des moyens et des outils qui permettent d’améliorer continuellement nos ateliers de fabrication, de manière à allier hausse de la productivité et bien être des salariés.



The manufacturing workshop, what is it ?

The manufacturing workshop is where we make our dust mite covers, from A to Z ! The fact that our products are medical devices requires a traceability and transparency of our products. The manufacture of our dust mite covers requires a know-how worthy of the greatest sewing workshops!

 

What motivates you to work in the OptimHal-ProtecSom laboratory ?

Working within the OptimHal-ProtecSom laboratory gives me the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks that leave no room for routine. To flourish in a company where the main mission is to improve the daily lives of people with allergies is a real source of motivation.


Tell us briefly a typical day ?   

There is no typical day in the OptimHal-ProtecSom laboratory. Every day is different, that’s what I like !

Livre d’Or Laboratoire ProtecSom 

OptimHal-ProtecSom present at the Francophone Congress of Allergology (Paris, France) !

From April 18 to 20, 2018 will be held the 13th edition of the Francophone Congress of Allergology (CFA), which will take place at the Palais des Congrès in Paris (France).

 

 

The CFA, which brings together nearly 2,500 health professionals, has become over the years the unmissable event for French allergists.


This year, the congress will treat the following theme: Allergy and Drugs.


Other aspects of the pathology such as food, drug, respiratory, ENT or ophthalmic allergies, explorations, pediatric specificities or therapeutic education will be discussed.

 

 

For our laboratory, this congress is an important event, which allows our team to meet and exchange with many respirologists, allergists, patient associations …

OptimHal-ProtecSom present at the next Normand Pediatric Seminar

On Thursday, March 22, 2018 will be held the 30th Normand Pediatric Seminar, which takes place as every year, in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, near Caen (14).

 

This new edition, organized by Professor Jacques BROUARD, Head of Pediatric Department at the University Hospital of Caen, will gather many specialists in asthma and allergy in the Normandy region, working in the field of pediatrics. The theme of the seminar will be: “What prospects for limiting antibiotic prescriptions in pediatrics in 2018? “

 

This day will be punctuated by communications about pediatric surgery, child psychiatry and neonatology from the University Hospital of Caen.

 

As for many years and as Normand Laboratory, we will be present during this day to meet and exchange with the leading local specialists in asthma and allergies and to enhance our medical devices “made in Normandy” .

Issuance of the European patent for the IsoBreath® valve

In 2012, Optimhal-Protecsom invented the IsoBreath® inspiratory valve, specificaly designed for the TipsHaler® valved holding chamber.

 

This conical anti-turnaroud valve, with a slight opening at rest, permits to modulate the inspiratory flow of the patient without generating inspiratory resistance for toddlers.

 

It promotes deep lung deposition of fine particles and limits drug deposition in the oropharyngeal area.

Inspiratory Valve IsoBreath - TipsHaler

The European Patent Office, the authority in charge of granting European patents, has just officially issued the patent for this IsoBreath® inspiratory valve.

 

It’s a recognition of OptimHal’s research innovation capabilities and it reinforces OptimHal’s team in the commitment to develop new effective devices for the millions of patients suffering from asthma or allergies around the world.

Arab Health – DubaÏ : Come meet us !

 

From January 29 to February 1, 2018 will be held the Arab Health, which takes place as every year at the International Center of Congresses and Exhibitions of Dubai. (United Arab Emirates)

 

This fair, large and internationally renowned, is the unmissable event in the field of the pharmaceutical industry and medical devices. Arab Health attracted nearly 4,000 exhibitors from 40 different countries in 2017.

ProtecSom-OptimHal present at the next CPLF (Lyon, France)

ProtecSom-OptimHal CPLF 2018

 

 

From January 26 to 28, 2018 will be held the 22nd edition of the Congress of Pneumology of French Language (CPLF), which will take place this year at the Palais des Congrès in Lyon (France).

 

This new edition will bring together nearly 5,000 health professionals, working in particular in the field of pneumology and will be on the theme : “Thoracic oncology – The lung and its environment“.

 

This congress is the opportunity to meet and exchange with many specialists in asthma : respirologists, allergists, patient associations…
